"So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead."

Work Camp 2006
 Mother Krispina

The 2006 Work Camp was a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the events surrounding Medjugorje.

The established Community of Sr. Krispina, once located in Mother's Village in Medjugorje, was without a home! The Community of Sr. Krispina serves abandoned mothers and their children. The community was established by the late Fr. Slavko Barbaric.

From the outset, Sr. Bonifacia (a Franciscan nun) worked alongside Fr. Slavko taking responsibility for the women who arrived, seeking help. The Community of Mother Krispina acts as a temporary home for abused, abandoned, and pregnant women. After birth, the majority of women accept their offspring and they begin learning the role of motherhood. Unfortunately, there are cases where the mother abandons the child. In this situation, adoption is arranged.

St. David's agreed to assist with funding this worthy building endeavor, and invited their friends to help initiate this project with their prayers and labor.
